Maxim healthcare is a great company. I love that they allow the parents to interview the staff before having them as your child’s nurse. The staff are very friendly, and forgiving when situations that you may not like regarding your child take place. They are attentive at getting other nurses to interview so that we you can decide if it’ll be a great fit for you and your child. I have gone through a few nurses for various reasons and after explaining to them the situation they understood and let me know they keep looking. There were a few communication mishaps where someone showed up to interview but I had no idea they were coming and there was not a nurse present to train them. Or I didn’t know my daughter had nursing on some days because it wasn’t communicated but overall if I could change one thing it would be to encourage better communication on the recruiter side of the program.Posted on Google

I lived four hours away when I received a call from the hospital saying my mother had been diagnosed with late-stage dementia and depression and could no longer live independently. I was from out of town and had no idea where to start. Encore's knowledgeable and caring staff immediately stepped in and consistently went above and beyond throughout our extremely dramatic and challenging year and a half. I was in town alone for the procedure, and she stayed in an adjoining room at my hotel, checked on me at agreed on intervals, and assisted me with transportation. I was able to focus on what I needed to do, without worring about logistics and feeling the confidence that if I needed help, someone was there. The caregivers gave my mother the dignity we'd hoped she would be provided during such a difficult time but also brought joy and happiness to a home that was otherwise consumed by grief. William G7 May 2024Many times I have used Encore Caregivers to transport me from the MD Anderson Endoscopy Center to the Rotary House hotel. From the very first call, everyone has been so helpful and nice. Sheretta, who schedules the people to pick you up, is so very kind, efficient and flexible. It is always a pleasure to talk with her and she keeps me up-to-date on who is assigned to take care of me. This past week, I had the pleasure of meeting Deborah A., one of the caregivers, and she was there on time and took care of getting me discharged and to my room. This is a very valuable service for people who do not have family members to assist them. The hospital, rightfully so, will not let you leave after sedation unless there is an adult to take care of you. Encore Caregivers is an excellent service and I highly recommend them.Posted on Google

Elizabeth Patrick9 March 2024I was getting a procedure done here out of state from Florida and I found the encore caregivers in Yelp and gave them a call and took a big risk because I’m just unfamiliar with any of the caregivers around here. First of all these caregivers were so caring and concerned about who they connect you with what kind of experience they’re going to provide you and just everything from the type of service to the budget to everything so that was really reassuring for me. Then I updated my information with them and they provided me. Someone called Lillie who was absolutely phenomenal. She not only showed up a little bit early because I was nervous and she kind of anticipated everything for me, but she drove me to the place in a very clean car . She was very personable. She knew exactly what she was doing. Not once did I have to say hey hold this for me pick this for me help me with this she was spot on ahead of the game and just so sweet we connected right away bless her heart. She is just such a professional and personable human being , she also was not the type of person who had to leave on time the situation extended much longer and she waited for me for that extra time which was so appreciative because I would’ve had to stay overnight. If I didn’t have someone to help me, you know check out because you can’t just Uber yourself out of a hospital so that was really very very appreciative and I felt very blessed to have someone like that. I can’t tell you that encore is the best. It was the best for me and it was far above my expectations. The people the professionals they care they were just so engaging they were very Kind in their you know discussions with me they didn’t talk to me like I was you know just a piece of meat or an object which was nice and I’m so lucky that everything went even better than well, so I just wanted the world to know that you can trust yourself in the hands of encore and the professionals. They really know what they’re doing. They really care about their clients and patients And the staff is just extremely knowledgeable and so they’re not going to do anything that is gonna you know raise eyebrows or even you know cause harm they’re gonna prepare for it all and you can count your blessings on that, so I hopefully will show my appreciation through this review on how much this meant to me because having a procedure on your own by yourself is frightening enough, but knowing that someone is there with you that isn’t just there because you’re paying them. All aspects were professional, including excellent communication, upfront pricing, organized service, on-time caregivers and personal care. We felt respected, loved and safe with these people. The only area of improvement I would recommend is invoicing. The portal did not work very well for us. We would have actually preferred to just send payment over the phone or by mail. Digital just behaved differently on so many platforms. But the office did help us work it out. Thank you, Garrett, for always taking my calls and treating us like family.Posted on Google

My request required their services outside of their typical business hours, yet from my first phone call, the Encore team went the extra mile to understand my needs and accommodate my transportation and support needs. My assigned caregiver, Miss Lily (sp?) was outstanding - very friendly, compassionate, and a great pleasure to work with. Nancy Lees-Thompson29 April 2022My family has been a client of Encore Caregivers since late April 2020. We have been very pleased with the service and care provided by the company and its caregivers and would highly recommend them to others. Although she has remained mentally acute, after our then 95-year-old mother fell and broke her right hip and wrist last year, we determined that the only way she could continue living alone in her own home would be if she had someone with her part of each day to ensure she was okay and provide non-medical assistance with activities of daily living as needed. Since we were not sure what those needs would be or what times or number of hours would be required, we needed a company that was flexible in their scheduling parameters. We needed caregivers who were professional and well-trained, including in safety and sensitive hygiene care. We liked the idea that ENCORE is a small family-owned business and have been very satisfied with the quality of their caregivers and the responsiveness of their office personnel. They are always reachable by phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week and respond immediately to our needs and concerns, working with us to answer questions and resolve any problems that occasionally arise. Their caregivers are patient and companionable, quick to recognize and report – when appropriate - any significant changes in our mother’s mental and physical state. Sharron Maler27 August 2021Having been in the Emergency Room the night before, I was in no shape to drive myself to my two appointments down in the Houston Medical Center the next day. Encore worked fast and tirelessly to get a caregiver/driver for me so that I arrived on time. The Caregiver was very efficient, careful; she cheerfully received and welcomed my instructions for the route and even for specific driving lanes. She sat patiently through the appointments, afforded sweet company for me, and graciously received my reports of the findings of the appointments. H Mitchell10 September 2020Encore came highly recommended through a friend. I contacted them after my mother had fallen and we decided we needed a caregiver in the home to help her. On my initial call I spoke with Marilou. My first impression could not have been any better. Marilou was thorough, personal and very much engaged. We set up a meeting in my Mom's home with the nurse, Cindy. Again, I cannot tell you how thorough, personable, engaging and overall sweet Cindy was during our meeting. We set a schedule and had our first caregiver, Yinka, a few days later. Yinka was the sweetest. My mom has memory loss and it is overwhelming for her to sit and have long conversations. Yinka has been trained and was very good with Mom. We are no longer using Encore, but it is not because we were not happy with every aspect of the care my mom was receiving. It came down to the number of hours we needed help and the cost. If the cost was not in the equation, Encore/Yinka would still be caring for my mother. We had one miscommunication about working on a holiday, and Marilou quickly took care of the issue. If your loved one needs care, speak to Marilou. Pam Donaho6 May 2020When our last caregiver Bukky left I was so sad to see her go since she had been with us for several months. The new caregiver, Mo, that took her place is so awesome. I was so impressed that she picked up where Bukky left off and immediately developed a caring relationship with my mom. She is so kind and gentle with my mom and so very patient. I never worry about mom when Mo is with her. I don't know what we would do without her. I can’t tell you how thankful I was for Laura last week when I had to call Encore at the last minute when our personal caregiver became ill. I read Laura's profile and immediately was impressed. When Laura came to visit , she was an absolute breath of fresh air and she fit right in like family. Thank you again for Mo and Laura.
